Rule 4: Eligibility

1. The Association shall consist of persons who are employees of the Department of Education and Children's Services of South Australia holding the position of Regional Director or Assistant Regional Director or Principal, Deputy Principal, Assistant Principal or Senior Leader at a school or a recognised centre of learning, or Director in a pre-school or kindergarten, or Manager of Regional Support Services.
2. Persons holding other positions in DECS or in other South Australian state school leadership organisations and who have previously held a school-based leadership role (Senior Leader, Assistant Principal, Deputy Principal, Principal, Pre-school or Kindergarten Director) that has not solely been an acting position may apply for membership of the Association.
3. Upon application by a member to the Board, the Board has the absolute discretion to allow a membership of the Association to continue despite rule 5.2 coming into effect.
